Southland Golf Tournament Raises Record Amount of Revenue for Scholarship Fund

On July 26th, Southland’s Southern California Division and Corporate Headquarters hosted their 6th Annual Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament at the Mesa Verde Country Club. Last year’s tournament raised a record amount of revenue for the scholarship fund; however this year’s golf tournament far exceeded last year’s numbers. With help from generous sponsors and partners, Southland was able to raise $69,127 which is a new company record. “I would like to personally thank all of our sponsors and volunteers for making this event such a success” said Joe Cvetas, Regional President and tournament organizer. “The record amount of revenue raised will be put to good use and will allow several students to continue their pursuit of higher education” added Cvetas. Plans are already underway for next year’s tournament which will be held on July 25th 2011 at the Mesa Verde Country Club.
