Southern California Division Awarded Maintenance Contract with Suzuki Motor Corporation

Southland Industries’ Southern California Division was awarded a five year comprehensive maintenance contract with American Suzuki Motor Corporation (Suzuki).  Southland’s Engineering Analysis services revealed that Suzuki was faced with numerous issues plaguing their Brea, California facility due to recent resource restructuring and spacial reconfigurations.  Specifically, Suzuki’s Brea facility was faced with mechanical systems that were unable to provide sufficient cooling as well as satisfy new heat loads. Furthermore, Suzuki’s facility also suffered from excessive energy consumption.

To help Suzuki regain control of its mechanical systems, Southland will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that will reallocate existing systems and air distribution to match new space requirements.  In addition, Southland will be responsible for re-commissioning existing equipment, and subsequent air balance procedures will be performed. Southland will also convert a portion of the existing building from old pneumatic controls to a new DDC system with a front-end. Once all work has been completed, Southland will be responsible for making sure the facilities mechanical systems are maintained within spec while making sure that operating costs remain under budget as set forth by Suzuki.
